Work at Home - The Good, Bad and Ugly!

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

Just as mentioned in the title of this article most will find out that if you are looking to Work at Home there are at least three topics that fit quite well. That is the good, the bad and the ugly. What do I mean you may ask? I will explain below:

Good: The good news is there are many Work at Home and Home Based Business that you can choose from and make a nice income if you are willing to put forth the effort. It’s important to make the right choices up front when choosing these programs. What do I mean? You need to ensure you pick programs that you feel comfortable doing the tasks that are required, have the necessary skill sets, match your realistic income objectives and time constraints. It is possible, in my opinion, to earn $1000 to $10000 a month, but it will take time and effort. Some people make huge amounts while others make a few hundred dollars or less. There are many variable that determine what you will earn. In my opinion most of it is up to you.

Bad: The bad side of the business is that many programs suggest they will teach you how to make thousands of dollars a month with little to no effort. There is good money to be made, but you will have to work for it. If it seems to good to be true than it likely is! The other thing is that many online companies offer very good ideas on how to make money, but they are not always as truthful up front with inquiring visitors. This causes people to feel victimized when the actual program might work just fine if the task required more accurately matched what was expected. We expect things to be as promised.

Ugly: The ugly side of the business is the scam artists that lurk on the Internet just looking to prey on an unsuspecting web surfer. Most of them have web sites that look good enough, but that’s it. Once you pay them the membership fee you may never hear from them again. Either that or they send you some worthless information that will not help you succeed at making money on the Internet. How do you avoid being scammed by these unscrupulous individuals? My first suggestion would be to use Work at Home Directory websites, because they will have done some level of research for you. The will also have the advantage of the invaluable feedback of visitors to their site. I know this is one of the main tools I use in determining what sites are on my Work at Home Directory website. The other thing you need to do is take responsibility for you own actions. I recommend picking from a Work at Home Directory then doing further research choosing programs that meet your work at home profile. Please feel free to read both this article or one of my many others by visiting my link in the resource box below. I always enjoy getting emails pertaining to my articles or my site. Your feedback is important to me.

Do your research, join 2-3 programs, work hard, exercise patience and enjoy the journey

Can You Get Rich Taking Surveys?

Friday, March 27th, 2009

Let me be the first to tell you that NO, in my opinion you cannot get rich simply taking surveys. You would have to be one fast read, speed-typing person to make this happen.

We see ads all over the Internet suggesting that you can make huge amounts of money taking online surveys. Here are the reasons why I believe you will not be retiring from your day job by solely taking online surveys.

 * Most survey companies want to pay you by entering you into a sweepstakes rather than pay you in real cash.
 * In most cases if you earn money the survey companies are such that you would have to spend most of your time daily taking surveys.
 * Because of the payouts and selection process of the survey companies most people end up quitting before they achieve any kind of success.
 * Most people join the first company they see promising the world and think solely about the money they might earn and not about the fact they will have to take a lot of surveys to earn that money.

This is just my honest opinion that I have formed from running an online Work at Home Directory website for a few years. For most people there are better choices online that will enable you to make more money with a better chance for success.

You may be wondering why the Online Paid Surveys have lasted so long if they do not work? I did not say you could not earn money; I said you more than likely would not be retiring from you day job.

I think you can be successful and earn some extra income if the following applies to you…..

 * You are simply looking to create some extra money each month to supplement your regular income.
 * You feel comfortable answering surveys using e-mail and enjoy expressing your opinion about products and services you already use.
 * You have a limited amount of time each day and simply would like to make your time more productive than it is currently.
 * You are willing to pay what I call a Paid Online Survey Directory that will give you an organized approach to becoming successful at earning money taking online surveys. A good survey directory company, in my opinion, will help remove scam artists, bad companies and show you which survey companies to sign up for so you can earn money rather than simply being paid by entries into sweepstakes. You should be the one that gets to choose how you get paid.
 * You have the self-discipline to ensure that you will put forth the effort necessary to succeed.

What kind of money can you make if you use a Paid Survey Directory? I think it’s possible to make up to $500 - $1000 a month if you follow their directions, join a lot of survey companies and work hard.

In closing if you are looking to create some extra income, you have some extra time, you like expressing your opinion and your expectations are not to high income wise than this can work for you.
Please feel free to read both this article or one of my many others by visiting my link in the resource box below. I always enjoy getting emails pertaining to my articles or my site. Your feedback is important to me.

I wish you the very best!

Do You Own a Pet Or Know Someone Who Does?

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

One of the top Home Based Businesses this year is owning an online pet store. This is a 40 billion dollar industry. The economy is bad, but people will always take care of their family and their pets. Studies show that 7 out of 10 people own a pet.

I decided to do some research to see what type of online pet stores were available to people like you and I. Many people are looking to find ways to create additional income and what better way then to tap into an industry that is recession proof.

I found a few good Home Based Businesses that allow you to own an online pet store. One example of my research offers the following:

· FREE startup kit.
· You are provided with an online store, which offers popular pet products.
· No setup fees involved.
· Step-by-step instructions on how to run you online pet store.
· You operate as the middleman therefore having to carry no inventories.
· No employee’s.

Think about it you will have an online store that offers products and services world-wide 24 hours a day 365 days a year. How nice would it be to wake up in the morning, reach for a cup of coffee and start reviewing how much money you made while you were sleeping? Take vacations or travel while your business is open to everyone that needs pet supplies. No shipping, inventories, employees or the stress that’s normally is associated with all of these areas.

Now is the time for you to step forward for your family and take control of your finances. It’s obvious that all of us are going to have to do this more than ever, because the government is not going to do it for us. Don’t believe what they tell you, because when the government tells you their helping you it likely means they are taking more money from you than they are giving you. Nothing in life is free!

Do your research and find Work at Home or Home Based Businesses that fit your skill sets, comfort zone, available hours and income objectives. Join 2-3 programs, work hard, exercise patience and enjoy the journey.

Always keep you goals in front of you. Think about what you will do with the extra income. Finding home jobs that meet your work at home profile and tapping into a known booming industry can only serve to help you achieve the success you desire. Remember, you will have to work hard, but in the end it should be will worth the effort. When owning businesses both typical and online profits normally start slowly and gradually increase.

Once you are earning more than you do at your day job you will have even more fun decisions to make. Please feel free to read both this article or one of my many others by visiting my link in the resource box below. I always enjoy getting emails pertaining to my articles or my site. Your feedback is important to me.

When to Avoid Work at Home Programs

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

There are many people that are having success working from the comfort of their home, but there are also just as many failing miserably. Why is that? Ask yourself the following questions:

1.    Do you have trouble staying focused on a task without supervision?
2.    Do you hate or have a fear of computers?
3.    Do you avoid the Internet like the plague?
4.    Do you think all online jobs are scams?
5.    Do you need a typical work place environment to feel secure?
6.    Do you have trouble following instructions?
7.    Are you looking for an online job whereby you join, pay a small fee and get paid for simply joining?
8.    Are you likely to join the first program you find that offers to pay you a lot of money saving you the up front research work?
9.    Are you looking for a get rich scheme, whereby you invest some money and simply wait to get paid your principal plus interest after a period of time with no work?
10.    Are you set in your ways and likely to feel uncomfortable trying something new?
11.    Are you afraid to try an online program because you have been scammed before?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions than you should not be thinking of joining any work at home or home based businesses. Why? It does not make you a bad person, but you will, in my opinion, more than likely fail miserably.

In addition, I believe you will likely fail if you do not first take the time to understand your work at home profile and match any programs with that profile. Can you save time using a Work at Home Directory like both myself and other offer? Yes, but you still need to do your own research and match any programs with your work at home profile otherwise you will more than likely join a program that does not fit your expectations, skill sets or comfort zone.

The nice part of using a Work at Home Directory website is that they will have filtered out most if not all of the scam artist hopefully. You will be picking from the good pile so to speak.

I think you can be successful, but you have to do your research, work hard, exercise patience and do not allow yourself to be denied. If you happen to join the wrong type of program, stop, find another program that better meets your work at home profile and try again. I will tell you the truth. I was scammed many times, but I kept learning the principles I am telling you here and did not give up. I believe anyone who has had success on the Internet has experienced some failures before they achieved success. In my opinion it will be well worth the effort.

You will know how nice it is when you are excited about waking up so you can check to see how much money you made while you were sleeping. How nice would that be?

Don’t allow yourself to be denied. Please feel free to read both this article or one of my many others by visiting my link in the resource box below. I always enjoy getting emails pertaining to my articles or my site. Your feedback is important to me.

If you did not answer yes to any of the questions below and you are willing to pay the price of being successful then have at it.

Need Help Finding Jobs Online?

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

As you can imagine many people are turning to the Internet looking for new ways of creating income to help pay their bills. Some have lost their jobs, others are in fear that they may be next and a huge number simply are seeking some additional income just to be safe. They see it as an insurance policy of sorts.

I think it is wise to be pro-active especially considering the current economic environment. In my lifetime I have never seen anything quite like this. I’ve been in either upper corporate management or a business owner for many years. I have actively traded stocks and spent a lot of money both in college, taking seminars and reading costly books. Never have I seen the stock market in the shape we find it today. We have banks failing with unsure lending practices and bonuses paid out to employees of failing companies. Unbelievable isn’t it? I know the company I worked for paid me great bonuses, but they were performance bonuses. If you didn’t reach goals you did not earn the bonuses. If you didn’t reach goals you did not earn the bonuses. We would not have gotten bonuses if our companies were not profitable.

Well, let’s get back on track. I have done a lot of research, mainly because I own a Work at Home Directory website, and found not only what I believe to be good online companies, but also companies that will help you find the right program for you.

I cannot tell you how important it is to find online jobs that match-up with your skill sets, available time, realistic income objectives and comfort zone. If you can find that match-up I believe you will be off to a good start.

Take your time do your research, join 2-3 programs that match your work at home profile identified above and enjoy creating your online income utilizing the access the Internet gives us.

It will take some time to get your Work at Home or Home Based Business job creating the type of income you desire, but in the end if you are able to work when you want and from the comfort of you home it will be well worth the effort spent.

Always keep your goals in front of you. Imagine what you will do with the extra income you will be earning. What debt will you pay off with the income you create? How will and extra, $100, $500, $2000 or more a month change your lifestyle? I would imagine quite a bit. You will need to exercise patience and do not allow yourself to be denied success. Some people have great success on the Internet while others do not. If you make a mistake on a program simply pick yourself up and do a better job on the next one. That’s one of the reason I recommend 2-3 paid programs in the beginning. It gives you three chances at being successful. If you match these programs with your Work at Home profile I believe you will be off to a great start. Please feel free to read both this article or one of my many others by visiting my link in the resource box below. I always enjoy getting emails pertaining to my articles or my site. Your feedback is important to me.

Work at Home Programs - Do They Work?

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

You can find hundreds of Work at Home and Home Based Business ideas on the Internet. The World Wide Web has allowed us access to millions of people. All one needs is a computer an access to the Internet.

Are there many good Work at Home programs to be found on the web? Yes and no. If you think of an online job as you do your traditional day job then you will not find many that will fit the bill. One the other hand you need to exercise caution and not simply jump into the first thing that promises to pay you something for nothing.

Believe me when I tell you there are more than enough scam artists to go around. They are lurking on the Internet looking for an unsuspecting prey to relieve them of both their time and money. Many times they look legitimate when in reality they are not so you have to exercise caution when choosing online programs to earn cash.

If however you are open-minded to new ways of creating income than I believe with research, hard work and patience one can have great success while working from the comfort of your home. I always recommend using a site like mine, but not necessarily mine that has done some level of research for you. At least when you choose from a Work at Home Directory website you are choosing from a pre-filtered group of programs, which should have some if not all of the weakest programs removed from consideration.

Take your time and match any program with your work at home profile. You may be asking what is your work at home profile? It is a term I came up with awhile back that ensures that you understand the extra hours you have available to work from home, your skills sets, realistic income objectives and comfort zone. It’s important that you match any programs with this profile. This will help you align yourself with the best programs for you.

I then recommend joining 2-3 paid programs and a few FREE programs. You can later focus on the programs that you enjoy the most.

Why should you pay anything for an online job? Good question. I like them and yes I have paid for them personally, because they teach you an organized approach while helping you avoid common mistakes that cost you both time and money.

I liken them to when I purchase a self-help book at Lowes to do a home project. Could I do the project without buying the book or cd? Yes, but I have found it always saves me valuable time and helps me avoid mistakes. Time is money so, in my opinion, it is money well spent. You have to do what’s best for you.

When I began my Work at Home career a few years back I wanted to earn money and I wanted to earn money fast. It worked for me, but I worked very hard especially for the first year. On the other hand I do understand that each person has to go about things in a way they feel most comfortable. It’s up to you in large part what you achieve in your Work at Home endeavor. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.

You will be your own boss so you should be making the decisions, but be prepared to stand by your decisions, remain flexible and work hard.

Don’t allow yourself to be denied success. Keep your goals in front of you. Ask yourself what an extra $100, $500, $1000 or even $2,000 - $10, 000 a month could do for you and your family. What difference would it make on your lifestyle? Please feel free to read both this article or one of my many others by visiting my link in the resource box below. I always enjoy getting emails pertaining to my articles or my site. Your feedback is important to me.

I wish you the very best!

Income, Debt & Excess Cash

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

How have Income, debt and excess cash changed over the past few years at your home? I know a few years back the balance was more than likely that there was more income than debt, which resulted in some excess cash being left over for savings or other things.

Today I think things have reversed and there is less income than debt with negative excess in some cases. People are hurting and need relief and often find themselves looking in unlikely places to find it. People who in the past never surfed the Internet find themselves online looking for ways to create income. How can we get the income, debt and excess aligned in the right order?

Income:
I think we all realize that if we can create more income than debt than we will have excess. The problem is daily people find themselves unemployed, which of course reduces their income. It’s important to take action immediately. It may mean looking for work in a field other than the one you are comfortable with. You could look at adding a part-time job or even a work at home online job to add additional income.

Debt:
I realize that if you have just lost your job it is very hard to talk about reducing debt, but this is what has to happen. It may mean a new job, a part-time job or both but creating more monthly income than money spent on debt each month is a major part of the solution. It’s imperative that you are on a budget so you both understand where you money is going and identify areas where you can cut back immediately. You can do little things like pay more to the higher rate credit cards monthly than the lower interest rate cards. When possible it’s to your benefit to pay more than the minimum amount due. This will help your credit rating.

Excess:
Once you have created some excess cash coming in on a monthly basis you should do several things. One is create an emergency fund or savings account and the other is pay of debt. The more you do these two things the faster you will get out of debt and the mess you and many good people just like you find yourself in.
Taking action will not only make you feel better, but you will feel very good as you see the debt decreasing and your wealth increasing. Please feel free to read both this article or one of my many others by visiting my link in the resource box below. I always enjoy getting emails pertaining to my articles or my site. Your feedback is important to me.

I wish you the very best. You are not alone.

Home Job Search

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

With the state of our economy currently many people are looking for ways to create additional income to help pay their bills. Some have lost their jobs already while others live in fear of losing the job they have. We hear stories of unemployment rates reaching 10% shortly and even more stories of 10 times the number of people showing up for available jobs when advertised. It’s pretty scary when you think about it. It use to be people were turning to the Internet to earn cash to supplement their income thereby improving their lifestyles now people are looking for cash to pay the bills this month.

The good news is that whenever we go through troubling times it simply means that we have to dig down deeper, work harder so that we can come out in better shape in the end. We can and will get through this if we simply return to the simple but clear values our parents taught us. It simply means we need to reduce debt and get back to the old days of waiting until we have the cash to pay for something rather than put it on credit a credit card or take out a loan.

There are many ways of creating income for those who choose to do so. You can look in your local areas for different job openings; find work on the Internet or a combination of both. Whichever ways you choose it will take hard work and determination, but in the end it should help you see the light at the end of the tunnel. Being able to see this light at the end of the tunnel has always made me feel, in troubling times that I could get through any catastrophe that I have faced before.

You may need to step out side of your comfort zone whether it’s a different type of job in your local area or a new type of work at home program on the Internet. The Internet jobs in particular will work, in my opinion, but you need to follow the step-by-step instructions carefully to be successful. It’s important that you research any program on the Internet carefully, because there are many scam artists lurking on the web to relieve you of both your time and your money.

You can find both FREE and paid programs that will help teach you creative ways to make money online. The paid programs charge a minimal fee, typically less than $40 for their services. If I were looking to earn cash fast I would choose 2-3 paid programs and a few FREE programs as well. Why? Well the paid programs are like self-help books that I have purchased at Lowes teaching me how to save time and money doing projects around the house. They teach you an organized approach to being successful on the Internet and avoid common costly mistakes that most people make. Can you do it with the FREE programs? Yes, but it takes longer because if you are like I was when I started a few years ago I had no idea where to start when looking for a work at home job much less which ones to avoid. I did not even know the right questions to ask. It was a new arena so I’m glad that I did exactly what I mentioned above. I simply joined more paid programs and more FREE programs, but I wanted, no I needed, to earn cash quick and lots of it.

You may be wondering what types of work at home program or home based businesses are available online. Here are a few work at home programs:

1. Rebate Processing
2. E-mail Processing
3. Order Processing
4. Paid Surveys
5. Data Entry
6. Telephone Answering Jobs
7. Chat Room Operators
8. Type at Home
9. Medical Transcription
10. Mystery Shoppers

These are just a few of the many types of work at home programs. You can also find many types of Home Based Businesses and Web Based Business Opportunities. Please feel free to read both this article and one of my many others by visiting my link in the resource box below. I always enjoy getting emails pertaining to my articles or my site. Your feedback is important to me.

Best of luck to you on becoming debt free!

Credit Card Lessons of Life

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

Many people today are having trouble with the economic conditions at the time of this article. Some have lost their jobs and many others live in fear of losing the jobs they currently hold. I think it’s fair to say that many people are right on the edge when it comes to being able to pay their bills on time each month.

It appears that many of us have gotten away from many of the values our parents taught us like not using credit cards and paying cash for things you purchase or going without. I know my parents taught me to save up if I wanted something rather than simply using a credit card and figuring out how and when to pay for it later. I must admit when you do that you certainly take better care of the item you have worked so hard for. You appreciate it and more and really scrutinize your purchases. It’s amazing what you decide not to buy when you really think about the hard work involved in paying for it long term.

I have fallen guilty like many others of using those dreadful credit cards. Have you ever noticed that when you can pay them off they give you interest rates so low you almost can’t rationalize not taking advantage of the credit offers. The problem is that when things get a bit tougher financially they jump the interest rates up by 10% or more, which makes life even harder. It sure would be nice if interest rates would go down on credit cards when your finances got tight wouldn’t it? I think we can all agree if we followed the lessons of life that our parents and elders taught us we would be better off for it. Hindsight is always wonderful.

I recently noticed that the government was debating laws to prevent credit card companies from raising rates and taking advantage of people during the current economic crisis. It such a farce, because they were proposing legislation that they would not be enforceable until 2010 or 2012 as I recall. What good does it do to pretend to prevent them from raising credit card interest after a few years when all they need to do is raise them before that date so they can avoid the law. Who are they protecting? It sounds like they are trying to protect the credit card companies rather than the people who voted them into office.

I talked to a friend the other day and was informed that she had over $35,000 in credit card debt and rising. I believe I heard on the news that the average credit card debt in the United States is between $30 $50k. We have really gotten away from the good old American values that our parents taught us, but we can change if we want to.

I personally long for the day when I can get back to the values that were taught by my parents and have no debt. One day I hope I can reach that goal again. Here are a few tips that I know of that will help get someone on the right track.

1. Pay off credit cards with the highest interest rate first.
2. Do not open any new credit cards.
3. Close higher interest rate credit cards once paid off.
4. Check to see if you credit card company will give you a better rate.
5. Call to see if annual fees or over limit fees can be reversed.
One last important factor is that many credit card companies are required to send you a notice advising you of the rate increase. You can tell them that you do not want to pay the higher interest rate and they will more than likely accommodate you providing you close your account and do not use the cards again. Please feel free to read both this article and one of my many others by visiting my link in the resource box below. I always enjoy getting emails pertaining to my articles or my site. Your feedback is important to me.

Enjoy the journey to becoming debt free!
